Continental Food and Beverage Inc./Inca Kola receives Excellence in Leadership Award from UN
On Thursday March 22, 2012 at the Tribeca Theater, Continental Food and Beverage Inc./Inca Kola was presented with the Excellence in Leadership award for their Commitment to Global Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Award was presented by The Honorable Ambassador Francis Lorenzo, President of South South News. The United Nations Film festival was running in conjunction with the UN InfoPoverty conference in New York this week.
Isabella Rosallini attended the event and spoke about the importance of small social films that communicate and document struggles all over the world. The infopoverty conference focused on the importance of Water conservation worldwide as well as issues that many poor communities face obtaining reliable sources of clean water.
The Coca Cola company presented their sustainability platforms and specifically their mission to become water neutral by the year 2020. Continental Food and Beverage has been supporting the UN millennium campaign for more than 5 years now and continue to support many causes not only here in the United States but also in other countries.
On hand to accept the award for Continental Food and Beverage Inc./Inca Kola were Luis Jardines CEO, Randall Berman COO, Julio Coen GM and Filipe Costa Director of Sales. Jardines thanked the Ambassador and commented that “we are just a small company doing what we can, we need the rest of the world to recognize the importance of these programs and get involved as much as possible.”
