On OCTOBER 11, 2017, the Inca Kola Family celebrated their 4th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the Friends of Lead Free Children at Split Rock Golf Course on a beautiful Fall day in New York City. The Friends of Lead Free Children has been providing essential health and environmental programs in the Dominican Republic since 1993. All proceeds from the event help fund on-going services for underprivileged children and pregnant women in Dominican Republic by providing them with multi-vitamin supplements and access to key medical services.
The extended Inca Kola family, who generously contributed their time and resources, included 81 golfers this year. Corporate sponsors once again turned out to support the event with The Coca Cola company leading the way. United Federation of Teachers came on board this year as a Dinner sponsor along with long time supporters National Supermarket Association. Other sponsors include Shirt Sponsor: Cafe Llave; Step 2 Promotions; Cart Sponsors: Guixens, Shop Rite, NSA, and El Especialito; and Golf Hole Sponsors: Compare Food, Connect One Bank, Delta Airlines, Mercy College, Aetna, NY Business Latino, Health First, Cibao Meat, and Event Model Agency, as well as numerous Premium Foursomes.
The weather was perfect for both golfing and networking, and the entire event was lively from beginning to end with a fun round of golf, raffles, contests and activities throughout, and ending with a wonderful dinner and reception, all of which made the event a tremendous success.
Inca Kola COO and President, Randal Berman and Friends of Lead Free Children Foundation Chairman, Steve Null welcomed all the golfers and dinner guests and thanked everyone once again for getting behind this tremendous humanitarian mission, a mission near and dear to the hearts of all of the participants and one which proudly started nearly 20 years ago.
A special thank you to EVERYONE who participated in this wonderful event which raised so much support for our most valuable asset: our children!!!
